Baroque Dance Studies

This 10-day non-residential course, concentrating:on the technique, presentation and notation of Bargee dance, allows attendance from 1-10 days as well as on a part-time basis, and is suitable for all levels from the absolute beginner to the advanced student. The daily, timetable will include: morning technique classes, afternoon "Steps in Context" sessions as well as various lectures (Baroque Theatre, Costume etc.), master classes on aspects of performance, optional workshops in Body Awareness, Reconstruction/Presentation of more complex country dances, practical sessions on playing for Baroque dance etc. Gasses will be accompanied by tapes and live music on period instruments.
