International Court Dance Festival "Cracovia Danza" is a sole court dance festival without an equivalent in the whole world.
The initiative sprang up in times of increased interest in the history of dance, fascination with European ballet and a return to the roots of the European heritage.
It is a response to the need of meeting and exchanging knowledge among a great number of historical dance groups both professional and amateur established in many countries.

Events of the festival take place in the most spectacular historical sites of Cracow ( the Wawel castle, Main Market, renaissance Villa Decius, the most picturesque streets of Cracow). It contributes to the natural union between dance and architecture and a natural revival of the town` s old monuments.

Festival focuses on two main aims: presentation of performances of historical European dances as well as new international creations inspired by the origins and traditions European dance.
Varied repertoire of the festival comprises of different events connected with dance. And as it has been the case over centuries it is dance that joins different people in non-verbal but harmonious union.
