Spring Baroque Dance Workshop

Course Content

The course will cover the technique and presentation of Baroque dance and is designed for all levels from the absolute beginner to the advanced student. No previous dance experience is necessary, although any knowledge of other dance forms will enable you to pick up the steps more easily.

Those new to Baroque dance will be taught basic steps, patterns, and musical rhythms, with opportunities for talks on the history, costume and context of the dances. More advanced students will be taught according to their level, with opportunities to work on their basic technique as well as on more challenging material.

Classes will run Monday to Friday, 9:30–5:00, with a break for lunch (note that lunch is not provided – there are restaurants and grocery stores nearby where students can purchase food).
Attending for a Few Days

It is possible to attend the workshop for a few days, however it is suggested that, if possible, beginners attend from the beginning of the course. Please contact Judy if you wish to discuss this.
